Fees How much will it cost?

Understandably one of a clients main concerns is cost. As every project is different, we make every effort to be clear and straightforward about our costs from the outset. At Jon the brick the fees are worked out on a hourly basis. Listed below is our estimated domestic tariff as well as other fees you may incur. Jon the brick is committed to great design, but this does not have to be expensive. A thorough survey and appraisal of a client’s needs from the initial consultation will ensure you acquire, for example, the additional living space you truly desire within a reasonable time scale.

Jon the brick work on an hourly rate of £50  per hour. The hours are indicated below for each service available. This is only a guide, a  consultation will allow a much clearer understanding of potential designs and likely costs.

Other costs you might expect

We have listed below other typical fees that a residential project may require. We will be able to advise you which of these will be relevant to your project once we have completed a home consultation.

  • Householder Planning Application Fee is £172 or a Certificate of Lawful Development Fee (if your work falls under Permitted Development) is £86.
  • Building Control Plans check and site visits: Between £500 and £2000.
  • Structural Engineer Fees: £200 to £2000
  • Party Wall Surveyor: £0 to £2000
  • Thames Water Build Over Agreement: £343
